Should Bush be re-elected?
Guy
walks into a bar, starts a conversation with bartender. Bartender says
"We've got a robot for conversations, just tell him your IQ.
Guy
tells the robot his IQ is 150. They talk about physics, philosophy, etc.
Guy
tells the robot his IQ is 100. They talk about sports, women, and pets.
Guy
tells robot his IQ is 50, robot says: "Hey, you gonna vote for George Bush
again?"
Incompetent leadership in times of need
Maybe if he hadn't been so absorbed reading "My Pet Goat" we could
have saved the other tower.
Maybe if he hadn't been so focused on getting Saddam, we'd have gotten Osama.
He FROZE when he was told the WTC was hit on 9/11/01. He was reading My Pet
Goat. You can see how our leader handled the attack on the WTC here: http://www.buzzflash.com/editorial/04/08/edi04057.html#video
President Bush never budged from his mission to read a book to school
children, despite being informed three times of the attacks. Finally, seven
minutes after he'd been informed the second tower was hit, the president
had to be told by a staffer to stop reading because his attentions might be
needed elsewhere.
An example occurs in its opening scenes. The destruction of the Twin Towers
is described by sound against a blank screen. President Bush is shown to be
reading a lesson entitled My Pet Goat to a group of schoolchildren. An aide
whispers in his ear that one of the Twin Towers has been attacked. Bush
continues reading for another seven minutes until the aide whispers in his ear
that the second Twin Tower has also been attacked, after which Bush leaves to
deal with the crisis. No words are used, but the impression subtly conveyed is
that Bush sat there paralysed and indecisive while America was under attack.
He attacked the wrong guy. Weren't we supposed to get Osama bin Laden?
He attacked the wrong country. Iraq has no connection to al Qaeda according
government reports released a month AFTER 9/11.
Why did we spend all that money and 1,000 American lives to attack a country
with no weapons of mass destruction located halfway around the world and where
we found no evidence of any plans to attack America?
He gave tax cuts to the wrong people. His tax cuts were skewed to the richest
Americans, those with the least margin propensity to spend. That's why demand is
down and the economy is slow. We sent most of the stimulus to people who were
least likely to spend it.
He's the only President to lose jobs in 70 years. His predecessor created 25
million job. Bush lost 2 million jobs.
In less than 2 years, he's plunged our country into it's deepest debt ever.
He's got the worst
In his first two months in office:
- Reneged on his promise to support mandatory emission reductions for carbon
dioxide in power plants and has now backed out of the Global Warming Treaty.
Most likely, he never planned to endorse these measures—he just said he
would to get a few votes. He is now paying back his big oil contributors
with our children’s breath.
- Repealed the Clinton Administration’s drinking water regulation, thus
allowing the level of arsenic in drinking water to remain at its high level.
- Introduced the idea of government funded religion organizations. An idea
that may not violate the letter of the Constitution, but surely the spirit
of the document upon which the American government is founded.
- Put forward a tax-break-for-the-rich scheme while touting it as a cure for
the poor economy—an economy he and his henchmen keep harping on, thus
trying to fool Americans into thinking this scheme is the only answer.
- Asked us to “move on past” (thus ignore) the Florida election fiasco.
He means that we should not question all the accusations of stolen votes,
lost votes, and under-counted votes. We should just accept the outcome as if
we were sheep—or subjects!
- Pushed through a ban to keep OSHA from issuing standards and ergonomic
guidelines, thus making it more difficult for hard working Americans to get
treatment for this painful work related injury.
- Has suspended the black listing regulation regarding the awarding of
government contracts to builders. Now contractors who are known polluters
and who are know to discriminate in hiring practices will be allowed to bid
on these contracts.
- Pissed off North Korea by doing an about face two days after Colin Powell
visited.
